This year too, summer is coming with a great schedule full of events at Casa Cares in the Reggello area, set in the cool green wonderful hills of Tuscany.
Casa Cares – the ideal place for organising meetings, seminars and events – will be the location for two residential summer camps for children: one is organised with the Coopventuno Cooperative in collaboration with Legambiente Turismo and the other is organised by the volunteers of Casa Cares.

A residential summer camp is a place where kids can grow and experience autonomy, experiment with relationships far from family ties, and test their abilities in a safe and secure environment, with qualified educators and environmental guides who are specialised in science and nature workshops and laboratories.

There will be two residential camps organised by the volunteers of Casa Cares: one for children between the ages of 8 and 12 – from June 24 to July 1, 2018; and the other for boys and girls between the ages of 13 and 17 – to be held between July 1 and 8, 2018. During the camps, on alternating days there will be guest interventions, fantastic games, movement games, excursions, workshops, film clubs and all the most creative things that come to mind, all planned around this year’s theme: time. In fact, the two camps are entitled “It got late too fast” and “How long is forever?”

It will be a week of ordinary madness because Casa Cares is a magical place, where a kid can grow without becoming an adult!

The camp “Nature at stake”, in collaboration with Coopventuno, will take place from July 22 to 27, 2018 and is geared for children aged between 9 and 17 years. The boys and girls, in the landscape of the Tuscan hills, among olive trees, woods and vineyards, will go on a journey to explore nature’s secrets, through games, workshops, sensory routes and nature walks, in a setting that is all about respecting and exploring the environment around them.

For younger children, the mission will be to interpret and listen to our fragile ecosystem, by observing the biodiversity and trying out eco-sustainable actions.?The older children will have the task of researching the origin of things and the laws that govern them. Some of the activities include: nature trekking, observing the sky and constellations, recreational group games, sensory routes through nature, orienteering and various open-air sports.

To enroll, please fill out the form that you can find here . The children will then be divided into different categories and activities based on their age.
